The WebInterpret trial is totally free, however bear in mind that when you list abroad you do have to pay listing fees to eBay on each international eBay site.
One of our main concern is to reduce as much as possible the fees you will have to pay for your foreign listings.
As such, we change many options on your listings. By default, all of your Account Preferences are set up to ensure that you will pay the cheapest insertion fees when listing abroad.
From now on, you can set up the following preferences :
Set up the item duration in Germany,
The German eBay site is one of the biggest eBay sites worldwide attracting as many visitors as eBay.co.uk, yet with lower final value fees! However, the insertion fees are a little more expensive. Therefore, before creating a German shop, the best way to reduce the listing fees is to set the duration of your listings to 10 days.
Set up the item quantity in Australia,
A good way to decrease the cost of any test listings in Australia is to set the quantity of your listings to 1.
Remove all subtitles and second categories,
An efficient way to decrease your eBay fees abroad.
WebInterpret related: How does WebInterpret modify and publish your listings abroad?
Please note that WebInterpret does not translate the entire listing:
You can select a maximum of 50 listings to be posted abroad in any number of countries during the test
WebInterpret will translate only the parts needed to increase your sales
The tests carried out with over 700 users have shown that translating the item descriptions as well as titles results in only a slight increase in sales of about 10 to 20% when compared with listings where only the title was translated.
This means that title translation is the first and most important step to increased visibility on foreign eBay sites and subsequent sales increases.
In Europe most buyers understand basic English but when they search for items on their national eBay sites they search in their native language and therefore your items will not appear in the search results unless the title has been accurately translated.
WebInterpret makes 2 types of modifications to your foreign listings, the first type are required to enable your listing to be found effectively on the foreign eBay site and to ensure ease of use for the buyer. The second type help to reduce the ebay listing fees incurred by you the seller.
Examples of Type 1 modifications (to increase sales)
WebInterpret translates your listing titles and subtitles, which are critical for increased visibility.
It is a fact that most foreign buyers search for items in their native language when using their national eBay site. (WebInterpret works with a vast community of professional translators.)
If needed, WebInterpret manages currency conversions and adds 2.5% to the asking price to cover additional PayPal fees (PayPal charges a fee to convert currency)
WebInterpret places your items in the correct categories
Categories vary dramatically from eBay site to eBay site, even within the english speaking sites (Australia, Canada, UK, US, ...). See the examples below
WebInterpret changes the shipping cost on your foreign listings
We take the international shipping cost you specified on the original listing and add it as the Domestic shipping cost when listing abroad.
We will be translating the items specifics in a few weeks.
Examples of Type 2 Modifications (to reduce costs)
As you know, the WebInterpret trial is totally free, however bear in mind that when listing abroad you do have to pay listing fees to eBay on each international eBay site.
At the beginning, you may find eBay insertion fees more expensive when selling internationally if you have not yet set up an eBay shop on the different International eBay sites as shop discounts will not be applied.
We suggest that, after testing several eBay sites, you simply open an eBay shop in the countries that prove the most beneficial to your business. This way you will qualify for the same eBay shop discounts that you enjoy on your home eBay site.
One of our main concern at WebInterpret is to keep those foreign eBay fees as low as possible.
To do so we make a number modifications on your foreign listings when listing them.
Some of these modifications are not visible to the foreign buyers.
For instance, most UK sellers use the "Gallery Plus" option as it is free when listing in the UK. However it can be quite expensive in other countries, therefore, by default we change the "Gallery Plus" option to a basic Gallery option on all your foreign listing.
WebInterpret related: International Stock Management
WebInterpret's solution is now comprehensive and covers all of the International eBay sites offered.
So, for instance, if an item is sold in Germany, available quantities will be decreased or items removed (if sold out) from all the other ebay sites.
However, at present you may sometimes experience a delay of around 8 minutes as our stock management facilities do not operate in real time.
In a few days the synchronisation will be carried out in real time.
Again, when listing abroad, you do have to pay listing fees to eBay on each international eBay site.
As mentionned above:
At the beginning, you may find eBay insertion fees more expensive when selling internationally if you have not yet set up an eBay shop on the different International eBay sites as shop discounts will not be applied.
We suggest that, after testing several eBay sites, you simply open an eBay shop in the countries that prove the most beneficial to your business. This way you will qualify for the same eBay shop discounts that you enjoy on your home eBay site.
